Please give the steps required to reproduce this problem. Was this with current trunk code? Were you running 'pygtk/ascdev' or had you installed ASCEND to some place? What was the model you were solving?

I encountered this problem with the revision 4042 of the ascend trunk code. I am viewing the interface through pygtk/ascdev. I was solving the 'vesselMethods.a4c' model present in the models directory. I am quite sure that this problem occurs for any other model as well. Here is how, you can reproduce the problem

1. Load a model
2. Instantiate it
3. Edit the value of a solver_var using the properties window
4. Click on the 'Apply' button at the bottom of the window
5. Try to close the 'solver status' pop-up

I tested with changeset 4059 on Ubuntu 11.10. I changed the value of 'end_area' from 0.0393538 (whatever it is when it loads) to 0.4. Then I clicked 'Apply'. Then I clicked either 'Cancel' or 'OK': both of these resulted in the dialog box disappearing.

Do you see any output in the console after this happens? Is there any other dialog box open? Could it possibly be a Unity issue specific to Ubuntu 11.04?

I'm not able to reproduce this bug.

I *was* able to reproduce this bug, at trunk changeset 4451. The key issue is to make sure the auto-solve option is enabled ('Auto' button in the toolbar), so that the dialog pops up when the 'apply' button is pressed.

The unresponsive dialog is blocked by the variable properties dialog, which is modal. If you go back ot the variable properties dialog, you can close that, and the solver status dialog then becomes responsive.
